The acclaimed stand-up comedian Alaa Abu Diab is bringing his new globe-trotting sell-out Arabic comedy show called “Mish Abyad” (Non-White) to Edmonton for the very first time! Opening his Canada tour in Vancouver, Alaa will travel to the heart of the University of Alberta to perform his blockbuster new show which has been a worldwide sensation.
Since stepping into the scene a few years ago in Sweden’s top Comedy Festival, Jerusalem’s funniest man Alaa Abu Diab has gone on to sell out shows across the world from Cairo to London and from Dubai to Toronto. His cutting-edge wit and hilarious political commentary have become a classic staple of his work while his nonchalant demeanour disarms (and charms) his audiences. His new show “Mish Abyad” (Non-White) explores the concept of “non-whiteness” and “otherness” and takes a dig at hypocrisy and double standards, touching upon subjects such as last year’s World Cup in Qatar and the invasion in Ukraine.
